MAKATI CITY, July 11 (PIA) -- Good news to Yellow Card holders of Makati! The city government has started distributing free admission kit for patients admitted at the Ospital ng Makati (OsMak) who are holders of the Yellow Card.
Makati City Mayor Abby Binay led the distribution of free admission kits to Yellow Card holders admitted at OsMak. The admission kit is an additional benefit under the Makati Health Plus program.
Mayor Binay said that the distribution of the admission kit aims to help Yellow Card holders save some money that can be spent for other urgent needs.
According to OsMak medical director Dr. Vergel Binay, the city government has provided around 11,893 pieces of admission kits. Each kit contains a digital thermometer, face towel, calibrated plastic cup, medicine cup, kidney basin, bathroom soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, spoon and fork, one roll of tissue paper, and a bottle of isopropyl alcohol.
Patients from OsMak can also use their Yellow Card at the Makati Medical Center for free diagnostic services and consultation with medical specialists, under the agreement signed between the city government and Makati Medical Center.
Mayor Binay also made an agreement with a private company to provide free dialysis for Yellow Card members who have renal disease.
Other benefits of the Yellow Card include free medicines for hypertension, diabetes, and other maintenance medicines distributed through eight pharmacy outlets in the city.
Meanwhile, the primary health care needs of residents are also being provided by the city's 26 barangay health centers which is supported by six satellite laboratories lined to OsMak. (PIA InfoComm)
