Toronto FC hired Bob Bradley as head coach and sporting director on Wednesday.
Bradley, 63, was the head coach for Los Angeles FC until the two sides parted ways on Nov. 18.
The move comes just one day after Toronto announced the departure of head coach Javier Perez and two days after parting ways with general manager Ali Curtis.
"We are excited for Bob to get to work," said Toronto FC president Bill Manning in a team release. "We are entering an extremely important offseason and know we have a team that needs a significant makeover. Bob has experience putting teams together and in getting them to perform at a high level. He understands the expectations and standards of TFC and is ready to take on this challenge."
A three-time MLS Coach of the Year and former U.S. Men's National Team head coach, Bradley ranks third all-time in MLS wins with a 182-127-86 record at the helm of Los Angeles FC (2017-21), Chivas USA (2005-06), New York/New Jersey MetroStars (2002-05) and the Chicago Fire (1997-2002).
"I want to thank Bill Manning and the board at MLSE for trusting me with this project," Bradley said in a news release. "I have seen firsthand the passion that Toronto has for football and the way the club has connected with the city. I look forward to putting a team on the field that will make our fans and supporters proud."
Internationally, Bradley has also managed Norway's Stabaek, France's Le Havre and England's Swansea City.
He guided LAFC to the Supporters' Shield in 2019 and the Concacaf Champions League final in 2020, but the team slipped to ninth place in the MLS Western Conference in 2021 and missed the playoffs with a 12-13-9 record.
Bradley takes over a Toronto squad that finished 5-10-8 under Perez. Perez took over when Chris Armas was fired after a 1-8-2 start to the season.
Bradley will have the opportunity to once again coach his son, Michael. The 34-year-old midfielder and Toronto FC captain began his MLS career playing for his father on the MetroStars from 2004-05.
