Inter Miami and host Toronto FC played to a 1-1 draw on Saturday night.
Tadeo Allende got Miami on the board in the first half, and Djordje Mihailovic responded for Toronto in the second half.
With the draw, Miami (16-6-8, 56 points), which clinched an MLS Cup playoff berth with a 4-0 win on Wednesday over New York City, has points in six of its last seven MLS matches.
Toronto (5-13-13, 28 points), eliminated from playoff contention, has points in seven straight matches. Saturday's result is a franchise-high seventh straight draw for the Reds, who have not lost since a 2-0 decision at Charlotte FC on July 26.
With Toronto trailing 1-0, Mihailovic leveled the score in the 60th minute, one-timing a Richie Laryea cross in for his first goal with Toronto and his 10th of the season.
Miami had an opportunity to retake the lead in the 76th minute, but Lionel Messi's left-footed shot from the center of the box was saved by a diving Sean Johnson.
Then, 11 minutes later, the Argentine had another glorious chance from the area, but Reds midfielder Kosi Thompson blocked the strike.
Inter Miami controlled possession in the first half, had four shots on target, and led 1-0 at the end of the opening 45 minutes.
Allende headed in a cross from Jordi Alba for his ninth goal of the season in first-half stoppage time to put the Herons on the board.
Miami had plenty of opportunities before Allende's goal.
In the 29th minute, Messi's strike was tipped wide by a diving Johnson.
Baltasar Rodriguez had an excellent chance just 12 minutes in, but a leaping Johnson saved his right-footed strike from the top of the area.
On Friday, Inter Miami midfielder Sergio Busquets announced he will retire at the end of the season.
