The Houston Dynamo announced the acquisition of Brazilian winger Guilherme on Tuesday.
The 30-year-old arrives from Brazilian Serie A side Santos FC for a reported $2.1 million transfer fee.
He will occupy a Designated Player spot and is signed through 2027-28 with an option for 2028-29.
Guilherme has tallied 95 goals and 44 assists in 492 appearances since 2016 across Brazil, with additional stops in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
'Guilherme is a proven leader and fierce competitor, with a history of success at some of the most storied clubs in South American football,' Dynamo president of soccer Pat Onstad said. 'Guilherme brings attacking quality and valuable experience -- in championship campaigns, promotion pushes and relegation battles -- that will strengthen our group as we build a team ready to compete for trophies in 2026 and beyond.
'We want to extend a warm welcome to Guilherme and his family and look forward to the impact he will have on and off the field in Houston.'Guilherme had 27 goals and 20 assists in 94 games with Santos, winning the 2025 Campeanato Paulista Golden Boot (10 goals).
The Dynamo open the 2026 MLS season at home against the Chicago Fire on Feb. 21.
